Read the board — and notice your Elixir → Let her cross the bridge while your bar fills → Deploy the Giant directly in her walking line → Let his body break her lock-on, then let the crossfire finish
The Report

Read the board — and notice your Elixir
A Level 11 Musketeer advances down the left lane toward your left Princess Tower, which starts at just 500 HP — a few shots will end the attempt. Your whole hand is one card: a Giant (5 Elixir), and you start just short of his cost. The first move is patience, not placement.
-
Let her cross the bridge while your bar fills
Placement shown in red. Original capture from the puzzle board. You cannot drop the Giant on frame one. Watch the Musketeer walk down the left lane; she may already be firing at your Princess Tower by the time you can afford him. That is expected — do not panic-place.
-
Deploy the Giant directly in her walking line
Placement shown in red. Original capture from the puzzle board. The moment you hit 5 Elixir, place the Giant on the tower-facing side of the Musketeer, close enough for immediate body contact — not behind your tower, not at the river, and not with a gap in front of him. A Giant with distance to close just buys her free shots.
-
Let his body break her lock-on, then let the crossfire finish
The Giant's body physically displaces her backward out of the Princess Tower's range, breaking her lock-on; she retargets onto him. The tower keeps firing the whole time while the Giant — who only walks toward buildings and never swings at her — soaks the damage. When she turns to shoot the Giant, the puzzle is solved; the combined fire drops her.
Push Comes to Shove is the third-ever Clash Royale Daily Puzzle (Day 3 of the November 2–8 launch batch, Season 89 “King vs. King”), released on November 4, 2026. The hand is a single card — the Giant (5 Elixir) — and the threat is an enemy Level 11 Musketeer marching down the left lane against a Princess Tower that starts at only 500 HP. You also start just short of the Giant’s cost, so the puzzle is two decisions in sequence: when to deploy, and exactly where.
Understanding the clue
Supercell confirmed that puzzle names carry hints, and this puzzle hides the answer in plain sight:
- “Push comes to shove” is an idiom for “when it gets serious” — and, read literally, the winning mechanic: the shove. The Giant’s body pushing the Musketeer is not a side effect, it is the solution.
The core idea: displacement, not damage
A Giant one-v-one against a Musketeer is a damage race you do not need to win. The puzzle is won through aggro displacement:
- Unchecked, she stands in range of your 500-HP Princess Tower and shoots it to pieces in a handful of shots.
- The Giant placed directly on her line makes body contact, shoving her backward out of the tower’s range. Her lock-on breaks, and she retargets the biggest thing in front of her — the Giant himself.
That’s the whole puzzle: turn a defense problem into a retarget problem. The Giant never deals a point of damage to her; the tower does, uninterrupted, while he tanks.
Step-by-step solution
- Read the board. A Level 11 Musketeer advances down the left lane on a 500-HP Princess Tower. One card in hand: Giant (5 Elixir). Your bar starts short of his cost — patience is part of the solution.
- Wait for 5 Elixir. Let her cross the bridge and start her approach. She may land one or two shots on the tower before you can afford the Giant; a 500-HP tower survives that, but it cannot survive much more.
- Deploy into her walking line, tower-facing side. Body contact is the goal. No gap in front of the Giant, no placing him behind the tower, no river placements — every tile of distance is a free shot for her.
- Let the shove reset her target. His body pushes her back out of range, breaking her lock-on; she retargets onto the Giant. He absorbs her shots while the Princess Tower — now free to fire — burns her down. When she turns to shoot him, you have already won.
Common failure points
- Deploying with a gap. The most common miss: the Giant lands in her lane but a tile or two short, and she keeps shooting the tower while he closes the distance.
- Placing him on the wrong side. Behind your tower or on the enemy-facing side means he never touches her — the shove needs contact.
- Sitting on full Elixir. Waiting past 5 Elixir banks her free shots on a tower that only has 500 HP. Deploy the moment you can afford him.
- Playing for the damage race. The Giant will never kill her — he only targets buildings. If you are watching his HP hoping he out-trades her, you are watching the wrong fight.
Par and scoring
Push Comes to Shove is rated Easy with Par 2 — the lowest Par of the launch week, and a nod to how cleanly the namesake shove solves it: most players clear it on the first or second attempt once the deploy-into-her-line idea clicks.

Notes & answers
What does the name 'Push Comes to Shove' hint at?
It is a double clue. As an idiom it means 'when it gets serious' — and literally, the solution is physical contact: the Giant's body shove is the entire defence. Supercell confirmed puzzle names carry hints, and this one describes the winning mechanic word for word.
Why did my Musketeer still destroy the tower?
Placement and timing. If you deploy the instant you have 5 Elixir but leave a gap in front of the Giant, she keeps shooting the tower while he walks in. If you place him behind the tower or on the enemy-facing side, he is too far to ever touch her. And if you wait too long past 5 Elixir, she banks free shots on a tower that only has 500 HP. Drop him straight into her walking line, tower-facing side.
Does the Giant need to kill the Musketeer?
No — he cannot. The Giant only targets buildings and never attacks her. His job is displacement: contact breaks her lock-on and turns her fire onto him. The Princess Tower deals the real damage while he absorbs her shots.
What is Par in Daily Puzzles?
Par is the target number of attempts, similar to golf — no rewards, purely a skill bragging metric. Push Comes to Shove is rated Easy with Par 2: solving it in one attempt is the intended showcase, two is the benchmark.
